The Computer Unit assists the Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office in the design, administration and follow-up of issues related to the development of information technology and information systems in the Prime Minister's Office.
In this capacity, it is responsible for the appraisal and follow-up of the files relating to the following activities:
the development and implementation of the computerization master plan of the Prime Minister’s Office;
the management and development of information and communication technologies, networks and information systems at the Prime Minister’s Office;
the development and implementation of the security, availability and integrity policy of the information technology system at the Prime Minister’s Office, in liaison with other technical structures and internal services;
the maintenance of applications, network, and computer equipment, in liaison with the Department of General Administration;
the technical evaluation of needs in computer hardware and software, in liaison with the Department of General Administration;
the technical administration of websites, intranet and extranet, in liaison with DICCG and other technical structures and internal services;
the setting up of banks and databases relating to the different IT subsystems of the Prime Minister’s Office;
the technological monitoring of information technology;
the promotion of information and communication technologies, and electronic governance within the Prime Minister's Office.
