French Ambassador at the Star Building

The newly appointed Ambassador of France to Cameroon, H.E Bruno Gain was received in audience by Prime Minister Head of Government, Philemon Yang,  at the Star Building on the morning of Friday, December 18, 2009. The meeting between Prime Minister and his guest which which lasted more than 45 minutes, covered several topics including the relationship between the two countries, that the French ambassador considered excellent, close and consistent.

In 2006 and 2007, the Ministry of Justice published bilingual, English and French, versions of human rights reports in Cameroon for the years 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Both reports gave an account of the progress made and shortcomings observed in the national mechanism for the promotion and protection of human rights. This was or is not meant to be an ideal presentation of human rights in Cameroon.

The Ministry of Justice published in 2006, an English and French version of its first Report on the State of Human Rights in Cameroon in 2005.
The initial report was an account of the successes and failures in the promotion and protection of human rights in Cameroon since independence.
